  1.                      Connect-USA General Information!

  3. Connect-USA is a network of connected Bulletin Board Systems throughout
  4. North America. As of January 15th, 1991, the following systems are
  5. connected to the network:

  7. Rusty 'n Edies BBS              Youngstown, Ohio        GIF Files
  8. Exec-PC                         Milwaukee, WI           Files #
  9. Galaxy Information Network      Albuquerque, NM         Chat, Files
  10. The Isles Of Shae               Ft. Lauderdale, FL      Games, Chat

  12. Channel 1                       Boston, MA              Files, Messages

  17. In addition to the above systems, several other cities and systems are
  18. scheduled to come on line during early 1991. Outdial capability will be
  19. added to these cities later in the year. These cities are:
  20.  
  21. Washington, DC and all local calling areas including parts of
  22.                 Maryland and Northern Virginia
  23. New York City, NY and northern New Jersey
  24. Boston, Massachusetts
  25. Atlanta, Georgia
  26. Miami, Florida
  27. Dallas and Ft. Worth, Texas
  28. Albuquerque, New Mexico
  29. Phoenix, Arizona
  30. San Diego, California
  31. San Francisco, California
  32. Los Angeles, California
  33. Seattle and Tacoma Washington
  34. Denver, Colorado
  35. Kansas City, Kansas and Kansas City, Missouri

  37. Each of the above cities will have 9600bps access and outdial capability
  38. using V.32, V.42bis modems and supporting lower bps rates.

  40. Connect-USA offers you the opportunity to call these systems anytime day or
  41. night for the low cost of $3.00 per hour from any city with a Connect-USA
  42. or CompuServe access number (see access number list enclosed). Gateway
  43. calls to the CompuServe network through other networks and WATTS numbers
  44. are not supported.

  46. Later in the year, Connect-USA will have access to and from Alaska via the
  47. Motorola Alaska Network. At present, Canadian usage is not supported. Calls
  48. from Hawaii are available through the DataLine BBS in Honolulu. Contact
  49. DataLine for more details (808-735-0895 voice).

  51. There is a monthly $10 account maintenance fee in addition to the $3.00 per
  52. hour rate. A detailed statement showing the length of each call, the
  53. destination, time called started, date of call and bps rate is uploaded to
  54. each member in an E-Mail file on the Galaxy Information Network on
  55. approximately the fifteenth of each month for the previous months calls.

  57. Each Connect-USA member receives unlimited access to the Galaxy Information
  58. Network including live chatting with other members, 20,000+ file library,
  59. games, UPI daily news and many other features. The only cost to access
  60. Galaxy is the $3.00 per hour Connect-USA charge.

  62. Connect-USA offers two easy ways to pay for your Connect-USA account. You
  63. can authorize us to debit your VISA/MasterCard or debit your checking
  64. account.

  66. Signing up for Connect-USA is easy! Simply make sure your printer is online
  67. and loaded with paper, then run the enclosed program "CUSA.EXE". You will
  68. be asked a few questions then your printer will print out your members
  69. agreement. All you have to do then is sign it and mail it along with a
  70. check for your $5.00 signup fee.
